Rificolona is, quite literally, born hanging from a thread. This suspension gives the design its lightweight character: the lampshade moves and shifts its tilt, constantly transforming its relationship with the surrounding space. The "White Moon" surface features varying levels of transparency, which accentuate its texture and evoke a lunar landscape. When illuminated, light and material engage in a dialogue through these variations; when switched off, Rificolona retains a striking decorative presence. The result is a dramatic yet visually light pendant lamp, capable of serving as a focal point in any living space.
Lighting and Functionality
The rotatable and tiltable lampshade allows for adjustments to the lamp’s orientation, depending on its placement and the desired lighting effect. Rificolona utilizes an integrated LED light source with a warm 2700K tone and a color rendering index (CRI) of 91. Power output and luminous flux vary according to the size of the lamp. The standard suspension cable measures 250 cm—with a 500 cm version available upon request—making the lamp suitable even for rooms with exceptionally high ceilings.

The lampshade is primarily made from recycled polyethylene—a material chosen for its combination of lightness, light-diffusing properties, and distinct surface character. The unique surface treatment creates variations in transparency, which alter the perceived density of the light and enhance the three-dimensional quality of the lampshade.

Available in three sizes, Rificolona is suitable for a variety of design contexts. The Ø 50 cm version is ideal for more intimate arrangements or for use in clusters, while the Ø 80 cm version offers a more striking, dramatic presence.
