The Torii table by Gervasoni, designed by Studio Adolini, combines a linear natural teak structure with a sculptural smoked glass tabletop. The base recalls the traditional Japanese Torii gate, from which the project takes its name, translating its architectural essentiality into an elegant and recognizable piece of furniture.

Design
The natural teak base supports the tabletop with a minimalist geometry that highlights the contrast between the warmth of the wood and the dark transparency of the glass. The top is crafted from smoked glass, cast and molded over a textured form that creates a delicate ripple effect on the surface. A subsequent heat-forming process curves the edges downward, giving the tabletop its characteristic soft, sculptural shape.
Natural teak for outdoor use
The teak used by Gervasoni is naturally suited for outdoor use, thanks to its oily resins that provide resistance to moisture and the elements. Upon exposure to light and weather, the wood gradually takes on the signature silvery-grey hue of aged teak.

Torii is available in two rectangular sizes; its generous proportions make it ideal for terraces, verandas, and outdoor dining areas, where the smoked glass top serves as the visual focal point of the composition.
