Soda Coffee Table

Design

Soda originates from an essential gesture: a single volume of blown glass, shaped to form both the base and the tabletop. The three petals that make up the support give the table an organic, distinctive silhouette, while its transparency lends a visual lightness to the material. Yiannis Ghikas’s design infuses an industrial product with a profound sense of craftsmanship and sculptural quality, allowing the table to serve as a decorative statement piece, even when used on its own.

Material and Craftsmanship

The glass surface features a characteristic hammered texture, which alters the way light passes through it, creating constant shifts in reflection and transparency. This treatment emphasizes the depth of the material and makes Soda visually dynamic—the perception of its color and volume changes depending on the lighting and the surrounding environment. Miniforms describes this unique surface treatment as one that makes the transparency of the material “vibrate.”

Versatility and Adaptability

Soda is available in two different proportions—one tall and compact, the other lower and wider—which can be used individually or combined within a living space. The blown-glass finishes—Amber, Blue, Petrol, and Transparent—allow for the introduction of various color accents, all while keeping the transparency and material quality of the glass at the forefront.
