The Caruso sideboard by Miniforms, designed by Paolo Cappello, blends furniture with technology, resulting in an object with a strong, distinct identity. Its signature acoustic trumpet, mounted on the front, reveals a dual nature: it serves as both a living room storage unit and an integrated audio system, capable of playing music directly from a smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. Playful, nostalgic, and contemporary all at once, Caruso transforms listening into a multisensory experience, uniting design and technology within a single piece of furniture.

Paolo Cappello’s design stems from the fusion of the traditional sideboard form with an unexpected element: a large acoustic horn that dominates the front, becoming the product’s defining feature. The nod to vintage gramophones introduces a touch of nostalgia, reinterpreted through modern proportions and an integrated technological system. The result is a piece with an almost sculptural quality, instantly commanding attention as the centerpiece of any living space.
Caruso features a 50W audio system that connects via Bluetooth to smartphones and other compatible devices. Simply activate the connection and select "Miniforms Music" to play your music directly through the sideboard. The audio functionality does not compromise its storage capacity; the 106 cm version includes a push-pull door and an internal shelf, while the 156.5 cm version offers two push-pull doors and a shelf, providing even more storage space.
The structure can be customized with a wide range of lacquered finishes and wood veneers, including ash, black ash, Canaletto walnut, flamed oak, heat-treated oak, and Vintage oak. The signature horn also offers a wide range of colors and materials, including ceramic, glazed ceramic, and metallic finishes in gold and copper. The ability to combine the main structure with the acoustic element allows for either tone-on-tone configurations or bolder, high-contrast looks.
Caruso is designed for the living room, where it functions simultaneously as a storage sideboard, an audio system, and a decorative piece. Available in two sizes, it adapts easily to different spaces: the more compact version distills the project’s identity into a smaller footprint, while the larger version provides greater storage capacity—all while retaining the iconic presence of the horn.
