Its enveloping, upholstered backrest meets a slender solid wood base, creating an elegant, comfortable seat designed for the contemporary dining area. It features legs in mocha-stained ash and upholstery in Pelle Frau® SC 56 Siena leather.

Details and Measures
Design
Archibald Slim is the result of a process of simplification: reduced volumes, clean lines, and a lightweight silhouette preserve the sophisticated character of the Archibald family while making the chair more versatile for use at the dining table. The upholstered shell follows the contours of the back with a soft, continuous shape, while the four solid ash legs—finished in a mocha stain—visually lighten the overall composition. The upholstery is enhanced by meticulous stitching along the edges and across the outer surface, a detail that echoes Poltrona Frau’s tailoring heritage.
Comfort and Functionality
The shell is crafted from rigid polyurethane, complemented by padding made of soft polyurethane and polyester wadding. The seat frame is constructed from birch plywood, also padded with polyurethane foam and wadding. An elastic webbing suspension system ensures a welcoming seat, while the upholstered backrest provides lumbar support that extends up to the lower shoulder blades. The choice of Pelle Frau® SC 56 Siena leather accentuates the chair’s warm, elegant character, creating a refined interplay of color with the mocha-stained ash.
Versatility and Adaptability
Thanks to its compact proportions and linear profile, Archibald Slim can be paired with dining tables of various styles without visually weighing down the setting. The combination of comfort, balanced proportions, and understated aesthetics makes it suitable not only for residential dining areas but also for restaurants, hospitality venues, and high-end contract spaces.
