The Blaine round table by Minotti, designed by Hannes Peer, interprets the dining area through a sculptural form inspired by 20th-century design culture. The circular tabletop interacts with a cast-aluminum base featuring a gently curved profile, creating a balance between solidity and movement, rigor and softness.

Design
The design evokes the sculptural explorations of Henry Moore and the architectural language of Oscar Niemeyer, where curves, solids, and voids serve as tools to establish a dynamic relationship with space. In Blaine, the curve plays no merely decorative role; instead, it directly defines the table’s structure and identity. In the round configuration, the continuous geometry of the tabletop amplifies this sense of fluidity and allows the base to be viewed from various perspectives.
Materials
The tabletop extends this exploration of materials through a variety of finishes. Wood versions include Light Brown-stained Canaletto walnut and Dark Brown reconstituted rosewood, available in either glossy or matte polyester finishes. The shaped marble tops—20 mm thick—are supported by a matte black lacquered MDF and aluminum structure, whereas the wooden versions utilize 50 mm thick veneered elements. Depending on the material and size, some configurations also feature an open-book (butterfly) grain pattern.
Round shape and conviviality
The circular configuration reinforces Blaine’s role as a focal point and facilitates an even arrangement of seating around the table. The absence of a designated "front" allows the sculptural base to be appreciated from every angle, making the table particularly well-suited for placement in the center of the dining room. The richness of the finishes allows the design to be steered towards different interpretations: warmer and more tactile with wood-veneer surfaces, more monumental with marble and quartzite, or more contemporary through the choice of polished aluminum.
