With LC3 the logic of modernity implements a separation between the metal supporting structure and the padded elements, recalling the architectural relationship between the concrete supporting structure and the infill elements. In this case four cushions, unattached, are arranged in a cage of painted or chromed steel tubes which constitutes the primary support of the piece of furniture in all its types, from the armchair with single or double armrest to the two or three seater sofas. Over the years Cassina has collaborated closely with Charlotte Perriand, with her heir and with Fondatiòn Le Corbusier to introduce new versions and finishes which, while reinterpreting the original project, fully respect its authenticity. Among these, the LC3 Outdoor variant stands out, with a stainless steel structure and a special embossed paint in 5 colors. The cushions are covered with water-repellent fabric to ensure maximum durability and reliability in all climatic conditions.
