Audo Copenhagen creates furniture and lighting designed to bring a warm and relaxed atmosphere to any space through inviting lines, high-quality materials, and a focus on comfort. The goal is to create spaces that reflect people’s lifestyles and contribute to their well-being, spaces where the true value lies in emotions and relationships.
The Danish brand, in collaboration with some of the most prominent international designers, creates complete collections of furniture, lighting, and accessories to bring a harmonious total look to homes, workplaces, and communal spaces, one that doesn’t flatten style but, on the contrary, makes it harmonious and cohesive. Through contemporary Nordic design, the use of traditional craftsmanship, and technological innovation, Audo creates high-quality furniture built to last.
The Audo collection features armchairs and lounge chairs designed to create peaceful corners dedicated to reading or conversation, with inviting designs and a selection of fabric or leather upholstery options that help create a sense of warmth and comfort. From contemporary to mid-century Nordic styles, Audo offers a timeless aesthetic that fits seamlessly into a variety of settings.
Among Audo’s most iconic collections, the Nordic-style lounge chairs immediately convey the quality of their design and materials, as well as a sense of comfort provided by their generous proportions and low, enveloping seats. Among Audo’s bestsellers, the Knitting armchair was designed in 1951 by Ib Kofod-Larsen and is characterized by its playful and clever design: the distinctive openings in the backrest at elbow height are intended to facilitate knitting (hence the name, Knitting) or reading. Another classic of the mid-century modern style is the Penguin lounge chair, designed in 1953 by Kofod-Larsen to cradle the sitter with its curved backrest and sloped seat: an example of timeless design, featuring soft lines and high-quality materials such as oak or walnut.
Designed in 2008 by Norm Architects and in keeping with the brand’s style, the Harbour armchair offers moments of deep relaxation both at home and in the workplace thanks to its soft and comfortable padding. The same versatility characterizes the Tearoom collection, featuring clean, geometric lines that are also ideal for workspaces or contract settings, without sacrificing Audo’s enveloping comfort.
